Why can't I add people to the Admirals Council group? I'm XO of the whole fleet. I should be able to do this. Unless Costello is the only person in the whole bloody fleet that can do this, something's wrong here.

As far as I am aware, only the FA can add people to the Council group...

The FA can add ppl to the Admirals Council. It can be done thru ACP or thru the DB. I used to be able to do it but the cpanel password was changed. You may wish to speak to Costello.

If only Costello can do it, I'll quit whining, but if Costello AND someone below my rank can, then something doesn't seem right.

Fair enough, I see many reasons why it should stay like this though. I guess people felt frustrated maybe and that it was somewhat a convenience I guess..Meh.
Since this has been rectified/explained, lock topic ?

Well, anybody with database access *can* do it, but that's considered a "back door" approach to it. For security and privacy concerns, only the Fleet Admiral is granted the forum permissions to grant that type of access. Again, if I wanted to I could assign myself individual access to the Council forums, but we're trying to stay away from individual and only use group-based permissions.
tl;dr - have costello do it.
